News and Updates for TLC Arts

April 2020

We have, honestly, suffered several set-backs over the past year. The climate toward charter schools and school choice has worsened in recent years. We had to move away from our school prospect in Bucks County, Hazelton, and York due to either, real or perceived resistance. Our current Pennsylvania Governor has been openly negative toward the school choice movement that has existed in this country since the early 90’s.

“We may be down, but don’t count us down!”

Our small but highly skilled professional team are moving ahead with the projects in Reading and the Poconos. The state has (unofficially) “raised the bar” on charter applications. We have committed to meet the “new standards”.Our plan is to present a fully revised charter to both Reading and the Poconos by the Fall of this year, for planned openings in 2021.

The FUTURE of these projects is bright, and we continue to seek skilled artists and educators to join our team.
